Progress needs more than good ideas; it needs strategy that connects, carries, and mobilizes.

Turning defiance into design: a visual system that carried from the mailbox to the street.

JUSTIN JONES FOR THE TENNESSEE STATE HOUSE

When Rep. Justin Jones was expelled from the Tennessee legislature for leading a gun reform protest, his campaign needed design that matched the moment. I built a bold visual system across every medium: direct mail, posters, web graphics, and physical collateral — while also planning photoshoots and shaping the creative direction.

This work was recognized with multiple Reed Awards in 2024, including Best Direct Mail Piece and Best Mail Piece for Special Election. It gave Justin’s campaign an unapologetic presence that stood shoulder-to-shoulder with his voice on the floor of the legislature.

Resistance made visible, liberation made tangible.

BRUNSWICK PRIDE

When Brunswick Pride organizers needed a design system for their annual celebration, the goal was bigger than just event materials. Pride had to feel bold, unapologetic, and community-rooted, giving queer and trans Mainers a powerful space of resistance and joy.

I created a flexible identity that worked across posters, merch, banners, and digital channels, ensuring the event looked as strong as the community it represents. The system balanced clarity with vibrancy, using geometric forms to reflect the many identities within the LGBTQ community and their collective strength, paired with bold type that carried resistance through every piece.

This work made Brunswick Pride instantly recognizable across town and online, helping amplify turnout, sponsorship, and visibility for Maine’s LGBTQ+ community.

Carrying deep local roots into bold, statewide leadership through design.

MATTIE DAUGHTRY FOR MAINE STATE SENATE

When Mattie Daughtry prepared to take on the role of Maine Senate President, her campaign needed more than an election rebrand; it needed a visual identity strong enough to carry into her leadership as one of the most visible figures in the state. I built a design system that combined experience with approachability, ensuring her brand could live across every context.

This work positioned Senator Daughtry as a leader whose voice and vision are unmistakable, a design system built to last beyond the campaign trail and into the halls of Augusta. By creating a flexible, cohesive visual language, we set her up to win and step into office with a consistent and trusted identity.

Connecting people to abortion access in a post-Roe world.

CHARLEY CHATBOT

In the wake of the Dobbs decision, Cecile Richards and Tom Subak launched Charley to cut through the noise and connect abortion seekers with clear, trustworthy information. The chatbot integrates with partner websites to provide up-to-date resources on clinics, state laws, funding, and care, all without collecting personal data.

I collaborated on Charley’s branding and design system, working to shape its visual identity, collateral, and campaign rollout. My role centered on extending the brand into a flexible system that could live across digital, print, and partner platforms.

Charley has since been adopted by nearly twenty organizations nationwide, reaching tens of thousands of users and becoming one of the most accessed abortion resources online.

Amplifying a historic first through justice, labor, and community.

SUMMER LEE FOR CONGRESS

Summer Lee’s campaign carried historic weight: her victory made her the first Black woman to represent Pennsylvania in Congress and a leading voice for progressive politics nationwide. To match her unapologetic platform on justice, labor, healthcare, and community power, I curated a system within her brand that cut through the noise of a crowded media landscape.

Through photographic direction, bold mail design, and utilizing her vibrant yellow palette that tied her to Pittsburgh’s identity, this work helped mobilize voters across the 12th District, amplified Lee’s profile as part of “The Squad,” and transformed her platform into visuals that were unavoidable.

Editorial design that amplified LGBTQ voices and won national recognition.

PHILADELPHIA GAY NEWS

As Editorial Designer and Illustrator for Philadelphia Gay News, I led the weekly production of one of the nation’s oldest and most influential LGBTQ newspapers. My work spanned full editorial layout, infographics, illustration, and special issues, blending clarity with visual storytelling to highlight the voices and struggles of Philadelphia’s LGBTQ community.

During my tenure, I spearheaded redesigns that modernized the paper’s look while staying true to its activist legacy, and created data-driven graphics and illustrations that gave readers new entry points into complex stories.

This work was recognized with multiple Society of Professional Journalists Public Service in Newspaper Journalism awards in 2021 and 2022, honoring PGN’s role in advancing public understanding and accountability through community reporting and design.
